Here's a question for you.
All this talk about Kenmore belt driven washers has reminded me of something. I don't think this was my imagination, but it seemed that our 1968 model 800, a used Whirlpool, and some others sounded like they had a slight higher pitch when they were running than my aunt's Kenmore 1963 model 600, a used Kenmore I had, the ones in the apartment complex I mentioned earlier, and some others I've heard had a slight lower pitch when they were running.
I never understood this, because these machines used the same chassis, motor, transmission, same thickness belts, and tubs. Can you please tell me what was going on? Thank you for your time. Have a nice day.
