Whos used it? I bought some Macadamia and Almond Oil Cream Conditioner today from Aldi and it smells amazing!! Looks like iced coffee in a bottle, reminds me of comfort conditioning creme (circa 2007), used the jojoba oil one before, and that was nice.

It smells so nice on the clothes, and you get a light fragrance, nothing heavy or piercing, and it lingers on the clothes for just enough time until they need rewashing, and ive just taken a load out the dryer =]

My clothes smell good enough to eat =p

My Mother uses it: mostly the white version from what I have noticed. Seems to do the job! The clothes always smell more of the Aldi Almat powder she also uses, which in itself does an acceptable job bar the poor dispensing issues (large clumps left in the dispenser). It's interesting how the Anco Soft gives varying does according to fabric types - much less for synthetics. No-one else does that.

The strength of perfumes in most conditioners is incredible these days! I used some Lenor "Breath of Fresh Air" a for a while a few months ago and every time I dust my bedroom I can still smell it - it seems to have permeated every fabric surface. I also borrowed some Comfort Blue Skies recently and my god was it strong: wearing shirts softened with it was like being in a perfume cloud all day. A bit of a strong scent is OK for the occasional item but it's too much for everything. It's coming to something when you walk behind someone and think "I know what you've been washing with..."!

I agree

I agree that alot of softeners are getting worse when it comes to scent and fragrance. There is no need for making the conditioner scent last ages and ages on your clothes.

Lenor is the worst one, for it, I cant say i liked Lenor Breath of Fresh Air, it was too strong for me. I do like the Lenor Infusions Gold Orchid One though as it smells of vanilla and Honey.

The Original Lenor Spring Awakening and Summer Breeze dont smell the same as they did 10 years ago, because they keep putting in more scent pearls which attach themselves to the clothing.

I tend to Stick to Mild Conditioners

my favourites and recommendations

Lenor Pure Care Orange Blossom
Comfort Pure
Comfort Tropical Burst
Lidl Doussy (Blue or White one)
Aldi Anco So Soft Naturals (Jojoba Oil, Cotton Oil or Almond oil)

As for the Aldi Almat Powder, I wasn't keen on the smell or the residue in the drawer, I've used the Almat Bio Tabs and they were pretty good, and they smell better than the powder.

get your mum to try Lidl Formil Washing Powder, its very good, and dissolves well even in 30*c washes, and theres no residue or scent at the end of the wash, so you can use whatever conditioner you want and you know the detergent wont interfere with the conditioner scent at the end of the wash.

my mums told me that she hasn't noticed a difference in shifting stains, and its a Bargain for a big 60 wash box for £6.49 (we use the biological one)

Conditioners

I'm using a 42 wash bottle of comfort blue skies conditioner at the moment & I agree, the scent is very strong, but it's the best going softens well & it leaves a very pleasent scent on your washing that lasts for ages. I have tried the anco-soft creme conditioners but i was well let down with them, the scents are just about non existent. The best Aldi conditioner is the concentrated green meadow fresh one.

Despite my complaints about the strength of Comfort Blue Skies I'm tempted to keep a bottle on hand as it's certainly not unpleasant (except there is a twang of scented candle wax about it when ironing). It does feel very vintage popping a capful of something blue in the drawer!

Lenor Breath of Fresh Air was a choice made whilst paralysed by indecision. I wanted something strong after I felt my work clothes were smelling a bit stale (it was winter and even though I line dry outdoors that bit of indoor airing required always takes the fresh egde away). It really wasn't my favourite and in the end I palmed it off on my housemate. So it's the "scent pearls" that have attached themselves all over my bedroom, eh? How fancy!

Lenor went off the boil scent-wise for me somewhere around 1997 when they added Extra Freshness. It does seem to have improved from the mid-2000s low point of gaggingly strong...especially the Summer Breeze variety.

My current lineup is between Ecover and Surcare: Ecover is stronger than it used to be and doesn't blend so well with some detergents (at least not to my nose); Surcare is probably the better at softening but despite being unperfumed does leave a slight smell.

If you find your laundry products aren't scented enough I'd advocate a few weeks of washing in unscented stuff. Your nose will soon start to pick up just how scented things really are! Well, that's what I found when I did it in the Summer...not guaranteeing anything!

Powder unscented fabric softener is the way to go! Otherwise is just fabric perfume! ;)

I like my clothes soft, not scented so I seldom buy fancy fragrances softeners

My say

When I first started using Comfort Sunshiny Days, I felt like I was putting too much in, only using 1.5 caps as I had done for Comfort Pure.

When I buy own brand softener/conditioner, such as Tesco or Sainsburys, I generally use 1.5 caps, but it really depends on what type/material of clothing I am washing, I generally use softener for synthetics, but coloured or white items that I wash on Cotton generally get some softener/conditioner splashed in.

Does anyone else use softener/conditioner for bedding? For mine and my parents' I use Comfort Pure, as they are both white bedding. For my sisters I use Sunshiny Days as her bedding is pink and also she really likes the smell.

I found myself buying a bottle of Enrituals Tranquility softener/conditioner from Tesco's which I put two capfuls in as it was a cheap detergent, for those that were wondering it cost me £1. But, I found that I only needed one cap as itwas an OK detergent but thesmell got a bit of getting used to!

I have actually never bought softener/conditioner from Aldi, but their Almat range is really nice to use and cleansthe clothes very well, especially the liquid.

Thats my 5p worth!

I always use softener for bedding, I dunno why but my skin itches if I dont use fabric conditioner on sheets, I cant stand the starchy feel of sheets, prefering soft cuddly cotton sheets.

I have quite a few conditioners in my cupboard, where as if i get sick of one fragrance I will change =] I'm alternating between Comfort Blue/Comfort Pure/Aldi Anco So Soft Almond and Macadamia oil, and Lenor Spring Awakening (1/2 a cap)

My favourites are comfort pure/Ancosoft as you have to put your nose up to the fabric to smell the conditioner, meaning im not offending people by walking around stinking of conditioner.

Bold is the worst, especially the blue bold powder as well as Ariel Bio, I can smell it on peoples clothes, and it makes me feel sick.

Apologies Everyone for my previous blank posts, the site must have had a glitch =]
