Amanas rock; or is that

Hey Mike:

The radarange makes a little "ting" prior to shutting off; not when it actually shuts off. According to the service instructions, "The timer is equipped with a mechanical end of cycle bell which will sound before the timer turns off."

This baby also weighs in at a hefty 74 lbs (no wonder I had a hard time lifting it to the baker's rack) and has 675 watts of microwave cooking power. Defrost nukes food at 40% power and Slo-Cook at 60% power. I love using this radaranage, even though the mister thinks I should be wearing a lead vest when cooking! LOL

Let me know if you are interested in a copy of the service manual.

YIKES!

I wondered why I kept tripping the metal detectors at the airport. A few more magnetrons and I may evolve into Barbara Hale!

Catching Up With This Thread

Frigilux, the "Pleasure Seekers" on not on the hat box set. Perhaps because they were late 60s and this focuses more on mid-60s. Got your DVDs and watched the Sweet one so far. Thanks for sending those along.

Venus, is the service manual different than the user manual? I got the user manual with the unit. My timer does not ding when it is ready to set off. If I manually click the dial to off, it dings. Perhaps the timer is a little out of adjustment? I can live with it the way it is, but, if I could easily adjust it, I'd give it a shot.

Lots of info.......

Mike:

These are actually "service instruction" with all kinds of techno-cr&* included; specs, design info, glossary of terms, disassembly procedures, etc.

SWEET DVD?

Versa, you mean Sweet as in Fox ON The Run, Love Is Like Oxygen? What's on it? Do tell.

The Sweet rocks, one of my guilty pleasures.

Sweet!

Yes, that Sweet. No reason to feel guilty about it. Wish I had more time to talk. The famous Mr. Veg-o-matic is slated to honor my abode with his presence any moment now and the place is a mess. Mr. Frigilux, can you fill Jason in?

Alan Hale was such a lucky guy.

So, Venus, oh Venus, how do I go about getting a copy of this manual. I think I need to get into the control panel for a number of reasons. One is to get the pulverized styrofoam peanut out of the dial (bad packing by the seller, what a mess). The other is to adjust the ding to sound when it's supposed to.

Jason, didn't mean to not answer your question yesterday. Veg ran the doorbell literally within 1 minute of me posting that post. The DVD that Frigilux loaned me is a documentary of The Sweet. It was very interesting. The local Media Play is going out of business and everything is 40 percent off at the moment. I should scavenge through the dwindling selection and see if I can find some more glam rock documentaries.

Crime and Punishment...LOL

Oh Mike:

I may have to get with Toggle to see what form of punishment, er, payment should be rendered for a copy of the manual. LOL

Seriously, e-mail me your address and I will make a copy of it and shoot it in the mail.

Venus :-)

I emailed my mailing address to you Venus

Hey, good news. I somehow got my timer to ding when it's supposed to ding. I'm not even sure how I did it. I was just playing around with the knobs a bit. I didn't take the control panel off or anything. There was probably a piece of styrofoam gumming up the works back there. I still need to get the control panel off at some point, though, to get the rest of the styrofoam out of the unit.
