Just for the fun of it... and to see how bad we may have it in Canada (and I understand that Alliance has no distribution network which may/can increase prices), can anyone tell me how much SQ model AWN432 retails for in the US?

Had to cough up $1040.00 for my Huebsch ZWN432 (same).

Can't wait for the replies... and my possible heart attack!

PS: Hey Canadians. Tell me how much you paid for your Huebsch washer in your neck of the woods (your location/price/model number please).

AJ Madison (online) has this one for $729 + $75 delivery, my local dealer sells it in the mid 500s (lowest I've seen anywhere). I've noticed prices can vary significantly even in a 100 miles radius of my house.

It does weigh over 200 lbs!

Come on people... a little more effort!!!

By the way, thanks Dan for the quick reply but I have a computer and Am aware of these quotes.

I wanna hear from people who went into a store, found a human being to deal with.

Basically, I want retail price... PLEASE, let's foget what you might find on the net.

Same

Oh-my-god!
With so much hype about SQ products on this forum - vs -my info request; never thought would have so little replies....

For my Speed Queen AWN311 which is bottom of the line and single speed we paid $ 549 USD and that was including tax and delivery charge of $20 USD. So $496 was the base price. Not bad. I think that for $1040 CAD is a bit steep. I wonder what the exchange rate is right now CAD to USD. I know at one time it was $1 usd to $1 cad.
Anyways Alliance has to have some sort of network in Canada I would think. Huebch and SQ are the same machine just different name. Here is a pic of my machine

AWN311

Thanks Mike.

That model retails at $812.00 at my local (and only) retailer. So the price discrepency between the US and CA seems to be constent.

AWN542

What did you do?... Picked it up directly at the plant? :-)

This new model has a fabric selector... Does it mean you can do the regular cycle at low speed and the other way around?

I bought my mother the top of the line Speed Queen washer I found that the price varied quite a bit one dealer in Tipton County wanted 700.00 but I got hers at Hamilton Maytag in Memphis for 529.00 did it over the phone and with the help of the Speed Queen website.Hamilton Maytag was very nice to deal with sent it right out they ordered it from a supplier because they cannot have 2 many Speed Queens on the floor because they would lose their Maytag contract.Which I would say good ridence they could become a Speed Queen dealer.

Yes the Fabric switch allows you to use the regular cycle and customize the agitation speed and spin speeds by which "fabric" you select.

Fabric Switch Uses

Here's a chart that I made that helps understand the Fabric switch. The Fabric switch will also work on PP cycle. If you select "Regular" and use PP, the first spin is normal speed, 2nd spin slow. The fabric switch isn't explained very well in SQ manual, I got it out of the service manual and made my own chart to reduce confusion.

Well, actually it does in the PP cycle as I have since discovered (see vids), if you have it on "Regular", one spin will be normal and the other spin will be slower. I think it's the first spin that is faster. Odd. No other selections on the fab switch make any difference on PP or any other cycle.

Also according to the tech doc that I saw the Delicate cycle is intermittent normal agitation while the hand wash is intermittent slow agitation - mine is slow on both cycles--can't tell any difference between them. I think they need some tweaking on this one--Whirlpool did it best on my 2003 TOL - only two cycles, normal and pp, and the "fab selector" can affect both.

I wanna see.......................

Alliace start to advertise more, and maybe come to some sort of marketing agreement with HD, Lowes, or Sams/Costco to sell their machines. The Quality is too good to pass up. I paid $649 for my AWN-542 at a local store, and yes e had them on display.

Seems they do advertise...in Oz from what some members have posted. I agree, they should. I really like the mom 'n pop dealer experience for me. But most people out there use Lowes and HD for the credit promotions (as I recently experienced with my sister). She WANTED a SQ, but it wasn't an option since Lowes/HD didn't carry them. :(
