At 55,I guess my sensitive side is really kicking in. I see washers/dryers here like those my parents had; the '55('56?) Whirlpools,'63 Frigidaires,'67 Lady Kenmores('900'). I operated the Frigidaires & Lady Kenmores.(Made my dad BUY the Lady Kenmores!) ANYWAY,these & nearly ALL the '55-'78 or so machines just bring back times/memories/feelings that are gone today. I know this is common amongst us 'machine heads',but lately seeing something like a '63 '700' KM running just makes me darn near 'break down' & pine for the great days when much more of America loved their American made 'marvels'. I'll still visit here & watch machines on youtube, can't stay away. My '96 KM '90s' still work good & are semi-cool,but are awful d#mn STERILE compared to BD 'Whirlmores' & others built with soul. Thanks to all who make this site possible.(and FUN!)
