Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

60s' GE top Frig.

I took pictures of the inside which had alot of blue shelving, but it was right before the memory filled up so I lost it.
It was interesting the large long magnet that was used to hold the doors shut. This was before they put magnets in the rubber seal.
I guess company management had a problem with stories of children being carelessly locked inside older models when playing that had an actual mechanical latch and were abandoned and then dying because of the smell of rotting jello and lard. ? hah ?

My Favorite Whirlpool Pink Wall oven

I'm really getting into the pink thing.
This oven doesn't look all that bad either.
I like the large, flush knobs for adjusting the temperature.

A Lot of Pictures

That was a great picture of the Hotpoint Automatic double oven. My grandmother had one. Each heat level had a different color and did you notice the "sealed" heat ovens. The oven elements were below the bottom of the oven. Anyone who had one of those babies hated to ever give them up. They were quite expensive for the time. One plug was connected to the timer and the other plug was not. You could set the timer to work with either oven. I just saw one at an antique mall in Carmel Indiana and they had a price tag of $3400.00.
