I have an Amana Dryer Model # NED4500VQ0. It runs but does not heat up. I have tested the thermostats all have continuity the heating element is brand new and has continuity thruogh it. the cord is good tested it also the wall unit is putting out 220 volts. Can't figure out what is wrong.

Is the timer sending voltage to the heater?
Run the dryer on a timed high heat cycle. Than, while its running, check if the heater gets voltage with your meter by testing for voltage accross the heater terminals. Be carefull, high voltage might be present.
Non Heating Electric Dryer
Yes it could be the timer or the motor centrifugal switch, you may also want to recheck the outlet voltage WITH the dryer running, 220 sounds suspicious as there is no 220 voltage in north America, unless you are in a 3phase system [ 208-212 ], it should be close to or slightly above 240 volts. Often the best way to test a timer or CS is to install a bypass jumper temporally while testing to see if the dryer will heat.
