This might be the first year for the rear-opening lid on Amana branded Speed Queens.  IIRC, they had a side opening lid on the washer with the slanted panel as well.  Always liked the panel design on these Amanas, this one in particular reminds me of the Kenmore with the sliding covers over the controls.
