Reliability is ok...
I had one of these until 2 years ago--donated it and replaced it with a JennAir of the same era (late 80s). The Amana was VERY attractive style-wise…didn't look too dated BUT--an absolute pain in the butt to keep clean (cosmetically). The glass panel for the control knobs/buttons is a super time-consuming thing to clean. Ceran burner surface scratches super easily and those scratches always show. Also, at this age, the black painted areas of the unit tend to lose their finish due to cleanings and grease softening them….but it does do an ok job. The oven wasn't particularly accurate, but that may just have been my particular range and not a sign of what all of them were like.
