I was wondering around the Salvation Army in Lynnwood, WA (North of Seattle) and saw this darling GE Americana!!!

Wish the pic were clearer, but here it is. It looks like it's in great shape.

I gave my Mom

one of those second hand for our summer home and she just loved it! She loved the two ovens for thanksgiving! We made some good meals on that thing, but it finally died from the insulation on the wiring around the whole top started to wear out.
Too big of a job for me so we chucked it and bought a Jen Aire.
Wonderful stove.

EXCELLENT AMERICANA

That one has the P7 self cleaning oven down below.

It's nearly exactly like the one I have except mine has the sky view window and no self cleaning oven, and is yellow.

Otherwise..I think it's about the same year as mine, which I would not trade for anything. I just LOVE the sensi-temp burner and couldn't think of cooking without it. It's especially nice if you have the square grill that also fits on the sensi-temp burner. When you press the grill button only the outer 8 inch ring heats up to match the special grill and deliver especially even heat. Also the 4, 6, or 8 inch burner choice option is pretty cool too.

Keyboard GE ranges in general are very reliable and easy to repair, although those switches may actually be no longer available, but don't quote me on that.

Looks like something's wrong with the storage drawer in that photo.

Here's a photo of mine showing the square grill cooking scrapple~! Also notice how the lower oven window is above the door but below the cooktop. THAT'S unique - it allows you to look in onto the TOP of what's cooking.

GET THAT RANGE if you can. You won't regret it.

Bob
