A couple of happy snaps I took whilst on a quick day trip to Amish country Ohio... Lehman's Hardware store was a pictorial treasure trove of old machines...

Enjoy...

Seems that

the rest of my pics are too big to post... But I must say - if anyone ever gets the chance Lehman's Hardware is a pretty cool store - they even sell Lego! Well worth checking out if ever in the region!

Friends figured that I needed a genuine Amish hat to match my every growing beard...! Scary! LOL

Amish county

Amish county is only about 45 minutes from Mansfield. We have being going there several times a year since I was a boy and no trip would be complete with out a stop at Lehmans. I remember the old store before it got so modern. They have a great catalog to sign up for and get twice a year. Jeb

Neat store!

Yep! Some Amish communities allows (self made) electricity and wringer washers.....others indeed not but do have gas powered wringer washers and change even the later model to be gas powered...

So nice to see these MINT machines and antique appliances....and real museum pieces...I bet it is a nice place to look for and so find also some QUALITY appliance and items that will still last many many years and sure more than whatever today's thing will do...
Wonderful wood stoves on the upper shelves also....I have a bunch (4-5) of similar ones at our farm...they came with the house...
Thanks for sharing!

It's the real deal

Lehman's Hardware in Kidron,Ohio is not that far from
where I live. Maybe 25 mins, so I go to Kidron fairly
often, though I don't always stop at Lehman's.

There is a Mennonite Thrift store just up the street that
I visit and donate unwanted items. Their pricing is good
and the store is currently being expanded to display more goods.
