I am having a hard time getting the correct information on different top loading and front loading washing machines'amps.I have many customers "off grid" mthgat are on wind and solar power asking me about why they would be better off buying a front loader over a top loader.Sears is telling them that top loaders with agitators are better because they are energy star products. I disagree and remember the major differences written on the energy tags of top and front loaders but need solid proof which is almost imposible on line.If I go to Hilo this weekend,I can stop at a few dealers and get the info off different models. However,if anyone heree has theinfo or knows where on line I could see it,I would be very apreciative. Thanks in advance. So I'm guessing you'd need:

Average washing watts.
Average spin watts.
Initial surge to start the motor,
and total (kilo)watt-hours. (total power drawn/consumption per load.)

I don't know of any source that (accurately) reports these. You may have to resort to a "Kill-a-watt" type consumer plug-in meter to record all of these varoable on a machine-to-machine basis yourself.
