Haven't used SA8 for a while but is it better value for money compared to the brands like Ariel found in the supermarkets? Used to pay £10.25 ($14.79) for 1.5 litres that would do 50 washes. This is 3 x concentrate unlike the 2 x concentrate like Persil Small and Mighty.

Wouldn't say so...

I've never used SA8, but going off what you said, I'm not sure it would be better value.

If it definitely does 50 loads for £10.25 that £0.20p a load, which whilst not the dearest, it isn't the cheapest either.

Other thing I would want to think about, does it perform like Ariel and Persil? If it does, then it is not bad value for money.

Of course it would all come down to the offers in the supermarket, there are times a 60 wash bottle of Ariel or Persil can be had for £7, so that would be just over £0.11p a load.

I personally have tons of detergent, so never run out, which means I NEVER have to pay full price for a detergent.

Recent bargains include 30 Ariel Pods for £3.50, and a 45 wash box of Persil Bio for £4.

Morrison's as of last week had an 80 wash box of Daz for £6!

If you really liked the SA8 though when you used it, go for it.

Thanks for your reply. I have seen a Tesco 1.5 litre bottle of colour detergent for £4.50 and it does the same number of washes as the SA8 50 to be precise. May not be 3 x concentrated but a lot more affordable. The liquid tabs are 3 x conconcentrated so suppose the same equivalent to SA8.
