Philco Twinmatic dual tub washing machine with ringer - $90 (lawrenceville)

Antique washing machine, everything works except 1 agitator needs grease. You could make it into a drink holder, just fill with ice, when done just drain. I'm selling for $90.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Question:</span>
I do my wash regularly in two Maytag "N" machines side by side. I got locked into this arrangement before I realized dedicated twin machines were made. While this arrangement is OK, I do get tired of them walking away from each other and would like to try a twin.

Here's one close to me at a reasonable price. What kind of problems am I going to have with parts and manuals? I am reluctant to buy a new brand because I am already dedicated to Kenmore and Maytag by special tools and parts I already have on stock. Since this is clearly not a pristine machine, I don't want to get into another project.  I note that one of the agitators has a broken skirt...

(I know, mixed messages... I want it but I don't)

Therapeutic comments welcome.

Also sold under the Dexter Brand

You probably will have the same issues with parts and manuals most of us have with vintage appliances. That is start looking around the usual places (fleaPay, estate sales, appliance part dealers etc...), then of course try here in the group.

IIRC one or two members may have the manual for either the Philco or Dexter version of this machine: http://www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?5228
