Hi everyone! In searching for parts for my 1978 Maytag restoration project, I came across an absolute paradise for appliance enthusiasts such as ourselves. The E-bay seller is parts107, and they have a bunch of NOS parts for various vintage appliances. I scored several binders of vintage Maytag service manuals and parts catalogs, covering everything from wringers to AMP’s to the 06 and 07 lines for $100 shipped. I figured I’d be selfish if I kept knowledge of this place to myself, so I figured I’d tell you about it. I’ve even seen some parts that appear to be to G.M. Frigidaire washers. There’s even a NOS Maytag electronic dri control unit available.

eBay appliance parts etc.

Yes thanks for sharing, there are hundreds of thousands of parts on eBay currently for major appliances built over the last 80+ years. All anyone has to do is puncheon part numbers and they also will have access to them.

Having been in the Appliance business for over 50 years we also have hundreds and hundreds of parts that we would like to sell it’s a problem most in this business have you’ll never get rid of most of them 95% of them will eventually go into the trash pile or recycling.

I am definitely in the market for some parts. My Westinghouse top-loader’s spin bearing has gone bad and seems to have sprung a leak which probably caused the bad bearing. I’ve never done anything to this washer other than change the belt. If you’ve got seals and bearings for this type of machine then I’ll gladly purchase from you.

Hi Jon I’ve never seen one of these that was worth fixing, it would be pretty extensive I’m not sure if you can replace the bearing without taking out the entire transmission and tearing it apart.

I’m sure it could be fixed, I would not have the parts for it, but seals and bearings are somewhat generic you can probably find the pieces if you want to tear into it.

The only parts we ever replaced on these machines were water inlet valves and belt even when the water pump goes it destroys the motor And sometimes shorts it out and takes the timer out with it.

It’s sort of a shame it was a pretty washer.
