An experiment

Since I now I have a reverse rack and an ultra wash in the kitchen I've been wanting to compare the capacity between the two. So today I loaded up the Maytag and when it was finished I threw the load into the Kenmore. Now I haven't had the ultra wash long enough to really learn the ins and outs of loading it but here is what happened.

With the Ultra-wash you could have laid that remaining skillet across the top of the plates in the back right corner of the lower rack. As long as it didn't end up blocking the wash tower in the center of the lower rack or obstruct the rotation of the upper washarm once inside the machine you wouldn't have had a problem.
I had the pleasure of having one of those at my old apartment. You could pack it to gills so to speak. And it would always clean very well no matter what you put into it or how much.

...the plate next to the skillet in the bottom rack could be placed with its back against the rear of the lower rack , and the skillet could have been placed in its space....as long as I don't obstruct the movement or feed tube to the upper wash arm,most anything can go anywhere in the lower rack...its even easier to me with the power filter pumps that have a direct feed to the upper wash arm! I would have put the remaining skillet where the current one is, cut tilt it at an angle along with the bowls.  Place the current skillet where the plate is at left front and the plate at the back facing inward as suggested.  Be careful with the upper spray nozzle in the top rack, you just about blocked it with that SS bowl.  Then it would have been a BobLoad (with the soil initially on the load put in the RR).
