Revere Whistler

I have my grandmothers old one just like that sitting on my stove now. She used it all the time to make tea but I do not like tea. Used more for decoration than boiling water now.

I've seen these on Ebay, and they go for BIG MONEY!  Where did you find this one?

I wonder if that one is stainless steel, or is old enough to be chrome plate over either copper or brass? My mom had the larger version she got sometime in the 40's which was chrome plated. I dropped something on it, causing a big dent. I bought her a new one for Christmas that looked just like it, except it was stainless with a copper bottom.
