Could possibly have been the negative vibes earlier last month but in any case the Flair went down on Easter Sunday. Thank God it went thru dinner that day and then decided to take a crap. The back two burners won't heat anymore. I assumed a bad safety disconnect switch and proceeded to read the Tech manual for the range as now I only have myself to rely on to repair my old appliances. No helper anymore sadly to say.
I decided that it would be a fairly easy fix with minimal parts having to be removed from the range. BUT as I study things more and more, it looks like almost the entire range will have to be dismantled in order to get to that stupid little switch. AND I'll have to take the entire mass out and away from the wall JUST to get the side panels off in order to take off the trim so I can take off the cooking top cover. THEN I can't even get the bottom drip pan off without disconnecting and removing the entire 4 burner cooking unit although the manual says I can! Am I right or wrong?????
Could someone out there please tell me exactly what needs to come off and out in order to get to this switch or could I just take the unit and put it on a sturdy table and access the switch by just cutting out part of the back panel.
I have just about had it with this range (among other things). If it weren't for the double ovens which I use all the time................
