A nippy good Thursday morning to everyone at AW! As much as I'd like to roll over and forget about going out to work, it's 5:30 and time to make coffee and get moving.

Here's the current local temp. B-r-r-r-r-r. To say the least, LOL!

Hi Eugene ... I feel your pain. It was -28 driving in to work this morning. Our wind chills were at -40 below. Some pretty nasty stuff.

They finally closed all the schools around here today; first time this year. Didn't have to deal with the school buses on the way in this morning. :-)

How does anyone get through a winter in Minnesota? I'd love to be in Australia where Shanonabc is. On the beach!
Bobby in Boston (where it's a balmy 15 degrees)

Bobby ... you just do! :-) All of the seasons are so beautiful and pronounced here.

We are, however, going through gallons of hand lotion!

Atlanta GA

11-16 degrees Thursday night and 11-12 Friday night. But typically in the south our cold spells usually last about a couple of days then temps go back up for a high in the mid fifties and the lower thirties during the winter months.

Don't know about everyone else but I'm ready for Spring time. These bleak winter months really work on my head! I suffer from SADS which I already take an antidepressant for. I ususally pull out of it in March.

We did it -21

Yay we did it, driving into work this morning the skyline looked so cool, it was surrounded by a shroud of ice fog! Weather like this only comes once or twice at most a year at most. I agree with Eugene, I love the seasons, wouldn't have it any other way.

Silly but I LOVE this weather. Bring on real midwest seasons!

We got soft about 3 or 4 years ago; the last two winters really have tested how thick our skin is! These are the types of winters my folks talk about that they remember from the 60's and 70's.

It was right around zero last night, and about 5 above this morning. Too cold for me! I really, really do hate winter. The sun is shining today, and that does make it easier to live with it though. Got to have my sunshine, one way or the other.I hate gloomy grey days.

Freezading

Here in the Garden State. 16 degrees F when I drove down the Parkway this ayem. Just came back from West Palm Beach FL on Monday where it was a delightful 76. Wish I was back there...

We'll be getting down to 9 for a low here... that's cold for our area. It's 35 right now.

Heard on NPR on the way back from lunch that our beloved Aberdeen, SD will see -45 degrees!
