.) For those into classic science fiction, watch "The Magnetic Monster" (1953) With Richard Carlson (Creature from the Black Lagoon)and Jean Byron (Patty Duke's mom).
A scientist creates a "living" isotope in makeshift lab located over an appliance store. In the appliance store, you see a row of new Westinghouse Laundromats with the doors opening and closing themselves due to the magnetic field above.
.) Impossible Years (1968) After the Dean of the college is pushed into a swimming pool, you see his clothes drying in an electric dryer with a glass door. You do not see a closeup of the control panel, so no clue what brand it is (although some of you may know).
.) The Birds (1963) Rod Taylor's mother is seen loading a dishwasher, with an unusual mounted top rack. (But shame on her, she rinses the dishes off before putting them in.) Can any of you tell what brand this is?
.) The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) [this may have been mentioned before] After Klatu "neutralizes" the earth's electricity you see a housewife pulling sopping wet laundry out of her Westinghouse Laundromat. Also an interesting clos up-shot of a early fifties milkshake mixer that the soda jerk is tying in vain to get working.
