The entire cooktop can be cleaned with Mr. Muscle in the original reclamation and then a touch with SOS here and there will maintain in through ownership. The ovens bake beautifully and add an extra dimension to radiant browning. The doors release at the top and lean forward for cleaning. The glass doors and ovens clean very well with MR Muscle on a cold surface. Tragically aluminum trims the oven so it is imperative to be vigilant in applying the cleaning to prevent over spray. SOS works well as do non abrasive cleaners. The Scotch Brite green scrubbers are the antichrist and will absolutely ruin the interior gleam. I won't have them in my house for the damage they can inflict on polished surfaces. The knobs all remove and the lifting the top off the range with a few screws, allows access to the glass control panel. Being super careful it can be lifted away and out of the stove for thorough cleaning. If needed the white knob surfaces can also be removed for cleaning but be sure to use nothing more aggressive than dishwater. It takes a couple hours to detail a Flair and when you're done and the light is on is a thing of beauty to behold. I never turn the light off. A quick wipe before heating the burner or oven to remove splatters prevents hours of cleaning after it’s burned on. I also make sure to use a pan larger than I need so nothing ever boils over on the stove the top. The cook top of the Flair is for cooking. I never cut, prep or allow anyone to splatter that becomes tomorrows burned on gunk. A little common sense and vigilance makes a keeping this object of amazement a clean, striking but iron willed work horse. Ours raised a family of 6, entertained weekly, catered weekly, baked hundreds of wedding cakes and special orders. I loved my Flair. I also like the sensitemp burner. You must not run it like a regular burner turning it up and down. Use a heavy pan or skillet so it can read the temperature and then set it for the heat you want. It comes of high and blazing, reaches the temp and then begins to cycle, holding a perfect simmer, boil, braise, sear or fry. It is like having an electric frying pan on the range. The mass of the pan and ingredients have to be enough to read and maintain a temp. Set it and walk away, secure.
