Warm southern I THINK tends to be more concrete and less wood-termites and humidity-damage issues.
Here in and around NYC we are beginnig to FINALLY use fire-poof construction=> Brik face (one layer) in front of cinderblock over a poured concrete foundation.
When I was in the southwest last week, or so, there are TONS of pre-manufactured (off-site built) homes that appear to be rolled to their location. [Note: I don't mean trailers]. Perhaps it is too hot to *stick* build (on-site build)there?
