With the black Gyrator, it is newer than 1946, I think. It is in great shape with no visible deterioration of the gasket between the tub and the body. I wonder if the parents let the kids have the fun of running a few loads through the machine or if the parents even know how to use it. When I was the age of these children that would have been the neatest toy for me; hell, it was a great toy when I got mine when I was in my 40s! The slap and gurgle of the water and the sound of that smooth running tranny are really relaxing sounds while doing laundry. If I had twice as much room, I would have it back in my basement. I hope whoever wins it has a lot of fun with it.
