Yes it's sad she died young but that's the extent of it for me. She created her own messes in a quest for fame and riches.

Why does this somewhat remind me of that famous Mary Tyler Moore shows about the death of Chuckles the Clown.

Funny how we're not permitted to see ONE flag-draped coffin coming off a military transport, but, in the next few days, we'll be treated to all manner of exhaustive analysis of this woman's life, every family member and "friend"....

All diversions, custom-designed to keep the sheeple distracted from what REALLY is going on...

No wonder the world thinks we're a joke.

whirlcool~

Is it really necessary to trash Anna Nicole the way you just did? None of us know her personally and regardless of her mistakes she was still a human being, a friend and a mother.
To die at 39 when she had her whole life ahead of her is tragic. Also tragic is a 5 month old innocent baby will grow up and never know a mothers love.
She will now certainly be a pawn between the 2 men who will fight over her custody.
Sad story all around
Rest in Peace Anna Nicole. =(

"Is it really necessary to trash Anna Nicole the way you just did?"

Deja vu, all over again. Two words: Gerald Ford.

oxydolfan~

If Anna Nicole's death was somehow a bad reflection on the Bush Administration, we would not be hearing any of it. Americans are not stupid. We know everyday our sons and daughters are dieing over in Iraq. This is Bush's legacy.
All I know is I sleep well at night knowing I didn't vote for this imbicle.

I just a did a review of some of the highlights of her career, that's all. I did say it was unfortunate about what happened to her, didn't I?

You know even before her son died, I felt very sorry for him. What it must be like to have a mother who acts like that and to live in that circus on a daily basis. No wonder he was on anti-depressants!

Hey, I call the shots as I see them. And in this case it ain't pretty. You have your opinion and I have mine.

Shane, if these elements had true respect for life, a Molly Ivins thread would have been possible...

Was it possible?

Ditto Rush Limbaugh. As this (IMHO) degenerate spirals into the final, bruising round of addiction to hillbilly heroin and love slaves in the Dominican Republic, you'd think his devoted fans, who despise governmental interference so vehemently, would take the bull by the horns and intervene on their OWN?

We're living in a culture of death, of hypocrisy, and of total corruption and moral bankruptcy.

And they call it as it is not....and they are proud of themselves.

Shane, they don't care about us. They barely care for their own.

let's not forget that she was not exactly an angel......

wow. JUDG-MEN-TAL: Inclined to make judgments, especially moral or personal ones.

suicide?

she was apparently very devastated over the death of her son. I truly believe losing a child is the worst pain one can go through.
I just hope her death was related to the genetic heart defect she could have shared with her son. To think that she overdosed or took her life would be hard to comprehend.
I don't think however Howard has any role in this. What would he have to gain? he wasn't even her legal husband.

Yeah, but wouldn't her money go to her daughter, that he claims as his?

And how would the other guy, who claims to be her father, prove that it's his and her baby (conclusively, that is, in court) without her DNA to match?

Stern would then be the unchallenged father (and custodian of Anna Nicole's baby daughter's fortune)?

(I can't believe I'm spinning this....)

According to CNN, Howard K Stern and Anna were married in the Bahamas around the time of the birth of her baby.

So, since he is her husband her estate will pass on to him.

Personally, I would not be surprised if some judge doesn't throw out the inheritance case based on the fact that the original players are now gone.

I think as time goes on more stories will come out and what we will see is a series of trainwrecks on many different levels. Not to mention the movie of the week.

When Marilyn died, all they could say about her was that she was found in the nude. Perhaps Anna tried, like Marilyn, to escape her image and her deamons, but failed from lack of support from anyone who actually gave a shit about her, personally. She was in a tough business. I was in an elevator with her once going to a meeting at Macys, and despite being tricked out as the Guess model, she had the eyes of a child, searching for what she could trust.
