The old MW we had

was a great old machine. It was a 20# machine and it was really a great machine. We always seemed to have the off-brand stuff around the house, but this is one I can say I never minded because in all the years we had it, we had few problems with it.

We had this exact machine in Tucson for a while. It was fabulous. Ours had that weird tendency to never be able to stop the agitator during drain/spin, but it was a great machine regardless. Our running joke was that it was such a strong performer (and loud, and butch) that it was the only machine that had a hairy chest.

It was a good-looking control panel, and the cute little lint filter was much less obtrusive than on later models. The top half was the fabric softener dispenser and snapped apart into two pieces--SUPER easy to clean. If you can find these, they don't disappoint.
