Sorry millennials, but unless this thing is connected to a water supply, you're going to have to put down your phone and expend some energy (oh, the humanity) to fill the reservoir before you go to bed.  You're also going to have to wash the basket and carafe after brewing and serving.  You'll have to hire someone more capable than Alexa for those two chores, and occasionally have them perform the third chore of loading beans into the hopper.

Seems to me like paying $5 at Starbucks is a better deal, which is probably why that place is overrun with you lackeys.

What a completely ridiculous idea! Just get a simple, inexpensive timer and set it for when you want your coffee to begin brewing, or get a coffeemaker with a built in timer. This technology has been available for almost 90 years!

Unless Alexa can make herself busy filling the machine with water and coffee shes no more sophisticated than a $3.99 plug in timer.

Just because your Smart phone can do something doesn’t mean its a time saver.

keuring coffee pods

I looked at this and shook my head

throw out the paper filer

But you still have to wash the reusable part I think

this would save time but would it not create waste

my family has washed coffee makers for millennium as have I and I am 59 and a half years old

This and the coffee maker was in the reusable coffee filters search that I have on ebay

I have a little coffee filter that fits perfectly in my Keurig. I haven't used it for a few years (like 5-10) but I don't see why it's use cannot be resumed. Mainly I want the ability to grind coffee of different types and then utilize the ground coffee in the Keurig. In particular, I'd like to try some decaf coffee, especially in the evenings. I have found that decaf Keurig coffee is somewhat harder to locate. My local Costco doesn't seem to stock any. Don't know why.

The Keurig compatible coffee filter doesn't have any paper, it's just fine nylon mesh of some sort. It does let through some particles; if that really bothers me I suppose I could find some paper filters for it. So far it's been ok, at least as far as I can remember.

I used those plastic "pods" with a  paper filter insert for some time but quit as I could not get the proper strength, seemed like it needed more coffee than it could hold.  I might have been  using the wrong coffee and the wrong grind, but my goal was cost savings and I was just  using basic Maxwell House or Folgers. Plus it was a pain to fill the pods without getting coffee on the counter.

I've moved on, now only use Peet's water decaffeinated pods and ground coffee.  I make a quart of coffee which translates to 3 mugs, in my Cuisinart drip pot using 3 1/2 tablespoons of coffee. Other times I use the pods, I get them from AZ in a 6 box pack, lasts  me a few months.
