that is riduculous. ralph nader would have a field day with that one. just imagine what might happen if that butter accidentally fell into the hot slots? there is one word for this: lawsuit!.
In the fairly recent past, didn't I give you a rather graphic
example of applying clarified/drawn butter with a nice
short wooden handled basting brush? Lotsa times in small
mom&pop greasy spoons that's how they butter toast.
Sorry, I missed one of your posts. I am laughing SO hard that you actually do have ferrets. And that they need bathing! I had no idea. I've always thought they were cute, but I've also heard they can be pretty aggressive. How do you find there temperament?
We have three and none of them are aggressive. This is partly a myth that they are ferocious. They also need to be trained not to nip. Their teeth are very sharp (like a cat) and their skin is VERY tough so when they play, with each other, they tend to bite very hard. They need to be taught the difference between playing with each other and playing with humans. I recomend them to anyone who can dedicate a lot of time to being with them. They're very social and LOVE people!!
They are very sweet and entertaining pets that do need to be bathed infrequently. Too much bathing makes them stink!!
This one had me laughing so hard that I think I coughed up my spleen!! I guess it could fall into the same catagory as the Oscar Meyer answer!!! I can't imagine that this item was very practical and is probably why I've only seen one of them.
Sorry that it's taking so long for my replies but today wasn't a good "flu" day so I rested/slept most of the day away.
Would you all like another one? I promise to try and make the next one harder.
Thanks. I just love the look of the Toastwell toasters. Many of them have that "loaf of bread" look! I wonder how many were ruined by melted butter falling into them
I apologize for pulling this thread off topic again, but I have one more ferret-related question. Are they housed in a pen/cage or do they roam about freely as a dog or cat would?
No problem. Some people can ferret proof their house and let them have the run of the house but I live in an older house where there are too many holes that they could get into and possibly get trapped in the wall. They don't make much noise so you may never know where they are trapped!
Ours are in a large pen, during the day, and are in a very large cage at night.
Are you thinking about getting one? I will be happy to share what I know with you.
