Another Kenwood !! :D

Hey Guys
I was lucky enough to find another stupidly cheap hardly used Chef from a boot fair - model KM300 from the last range to be assembled in Havant. Stolen for a tenner (I had the coffee grinder already tho).

That's exactly the same model that I have...and I paid $400 (thats GBP250) for it new in 1997.

Great machine.

We maybe getting Kenwood sometime in the future. I have never heard of the brand until a couple of days ago.

Don't quite understand that link above about Kenwood entering the Canadian appliance market,, they've been selling mixers and later on other products since the late 1950's.

I have this machine and the coffee grinder, among MANY other attachements! My ONLY gripe is that the K beater and dough hook are shedding their non stick coating. I am going to get replacements like the ones my mother had.

Mine were never non-stick coated....

not sure if it is supposed to be non stick but they are a light grey and it peels off like poor quality non stick so who knows what it is!

The beater blades with my Viking Kenwood mixer are stainless steel!!!No worries there-and you can put them in the dishwasher!no problem.The uncoated aluminum beater blades have to be washed by hand.
