Yeah but being a DG808 - built from 1978 - 1980, that color wasn't offered then, was it??? 

 

Even IF it is "harvest gold"..... just sayin.....

I think Goatfarmer is correct. I think it was bright sunny day. Being that its a 806/808 it should be a "GA or GDG". They called it gold, not harvest. They would look really nice in our downstairs laundry area.

That's Maytag's post 1976 version of Harvest Gold

and the reason it is a solid color instead of shaded is because at the end of 1976 all the appliance manufacuter's got together and decided to offer all the same shades of colors on their appliances so people could mix and match brands and have the colors match, i.e an avocado GE dishwasher and Frigidaire refrigerator.
