Help Support :

Oh no

If there's a domestic , don't blame me.
I have now had a sink put in the garage so I can chose which one to play with on wash day, thankfully I have a very understanding husband . That translates to he couldn't care less!

I had

that exact machine...bought it recon in 1992.....had it for six months and sent it back to the shop due to brushes failing badly , replaced by a Zanussi Fl1012 which lasted 5yrs before spider failure

Please post eBay finds in the relevant eBay forum....

the link is provided below. It's often posted in the Deluxe forum.

Nevertheless, its a good machine, would last a lot longer than today's machines, and only used a couple of times too!

@ ultimafan - what on earth are you on about?

This is a 28 year old machine, so the Imperial forum is the ideal place for it - I'm sure the site moderation would deal with this if it were otherwise.

A great find - a classic, and a great example of the first line of widely affordable automatics that (alas) did away with the twintub in this country. Hope it goes to a good home!

Thanks Lance

For the heads up on this machine, and as Louis says, you did nothing wrong at all.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Lance (and his partner) a couple of weeks ago - a warm welcome, lovely machines and supurb hospitality :)

Lance, I can see a lot more machines in your future now that you have the sink in the garage - although you will go a long way to surpass your Parnall and Supertwin :)

This is an amazing machine!

Our family friends had this machine, actually, have this machine, that has been replaced with new GrandO just because they mooved and new bathroom required a slim depth machine (40cm)

They are keeping this one in storage for now, and it is still completely functional, washing and drying like new (3 large bath towels, spun at 800rpm were dry in 75 minutes)! They are doing only 1-2 loads per week, but anyway, that machine worked from August 1985 till March 2010, and it's still great, just was too big for the new bathroom :D

So, who ever gets this one is deffinatley getting a great deal! :D

I had one of these years ago, it was an imported orphan (they were never sold new here.)

It had a rusted out dryer fan so the dryer didn't work but the washer function was a beauty.

It had an induction motor and a variable diameter pulley, works the same as a CVT transmission in a car. I gave it to a relative who got several years use from it, eventually the pulley was worn out and started eating belts, that was the end of it.

Not very stylish but it was a good machine.

My grandma still HAS it (or an almost equal model to that) bought in 1985, the year I was born! It's still working and used as both washer and sometimes as dryer.
I think the spin speed is very slow around 520-550 rpm. But yes, the machine is as solid as a rock! And I love the styling!
