I just wanted to say hello. Christfr had suggested I check out this site after I helped him get a GE monitor top. I've been peeking in the past few months and kinda want a few washers to go with my fridges. I started collecting radios, then tv's, then fridges, and lord only knows whats next.

I really would like that WH front load set on ebay now and someday a Bendix, and then someday a center dial Maytag set. I'll keep my wish list short as it doesn't really help. I started with one fridge ten years ago and now have eight in the house.

The picture is my favorite fridge, a 1930-32 Frigidaire.

Welcome Travis, you are going to really enjoy this site and all the great people here. You are a lucky guy to have Chris close by. Have fun you guys!!

Gyrafoam, my Frigidaire is temporarily dead. I bought it in Chicago, tinkered with it for a couple months and finally got in running for a couple weeks.

I have talked to Mike Arnold about it. I just have to wait until I find the time to work on it again soon. It's beautiful and the finish details like the name plate are wonderful. I think my friends would prefer I never move again. It lives on a rolling platform in my living room for now. My "real" fridge is a 1931 GE monitor top.

I haven't known Chris very long, but was excited that there were other large appliance collectors around. I think I need to go visit his WH set soon. Pictures are nice, but nothing beats the in person view.

Welcome to the club, Travis!

Chris is a sweetie pie, isn't he? (And so is his silly dog, Max).

Hopefully we'll get to meet some time.

Chris wants me to buy a refrigerator from you to pair up with a 1920s Magic Chef stove I installed in my basement (gotta have an extra oven when I have parties). But I have too many appliances already!

Steve
