DEF-9 - LOVE LOVE LOVE the lighted panel.

Seller's CL ad reads:

"Vintage 1956 Kelvinator Dryer in excellent condition fully functional and working perfectly. Runs well, timer works and shuts off when clothes are dry, has working lighted controls and drum light. 220V electric. Very heavy well built dryer. Photos speak for the excellent condition. Model DEF-9 Nice dryer for the retro collector or Mad Men display $300.00"

exhaust port

it looks like the port is the older 3" diameter, hidden somewhat by the cord in this pic. And it looks like there are alternative port locations, check out the round covers up near the top of the rear cover, and the rear of the console cover.
Right now, $300 is too rich for my blood.

Oh, one can always negotiate a better deal if the seller really plans on moving it out. Having to ship it is a whole different story. Logistics. Probably weighs like a block of granite.

Nice Do-All-Dial Dryer might attract the matching Washer over time. 'Ya never know.

Occasionally the POD has this dryer along with the washer in an ad. I don't recall ever seeing one of these although I probably wouldn't remember by now anyway. Used dryers sold very well, especially gas. I assume a lot of dryer-less people hooked them up in the garage near the water heater. I had forgotten all about 3" vents. From a retail standpoint, it was illegal to sell them.
