Any info on this Capri set, it looks like a large capacity

I actually could have gotten the (I think) late 60s or early 70s super large capacity Whirlpool washer once, but this looks to be almost as big. I don't know much about this Capri, but it is available and could come in handy. Thanks for any info, - Northwesty

That would be Sears Whirlpool DD, a step up from BOL. From here it looks to be in great condition and will function just like any other DD. Probably single speed. Age wise I am guessing mid to late 90s.

A Whirlpool/Kenmore expert would know more then I do, but I think you could fit a DA agitator in there.

You can easily add a DAA

The machine you have there is termed extra large capacity around 2.7 cubic feet. That is the same single action agitator that my own Kenmore originally had. You will notice that Whirlpool is using this agitator even now in the commercial Whirlpools and Maytags...and it's not a bad agitator. Switching to a Dual-Action will improve washability on larger loads and turn over those "problem" loads such as stiff demin. I went over to our local shitbuilder (Bob's Place-it's named for the cat that lives there) and bought a used one for 10 bucks. You can even overload a little with a DAA. Because the agitation is very aggressive, I run most loads through the DELICATE wash cycle, then switch to the last 2 or 4 minutes of the COTTON/STURDY cycle. I also limit the rinse to two minutes. This way I keep my Kenmore from being a Shredmore.

almost any regular base DAA will fit.....

there were ones specific for that tub, the blades on the base are smaller, some have 4, and some have 5 blades...

both will work effectively.....

It's early 90s, also possibly late 80s. In the late 90s/early 2000s these had brown plastic consoles and were badged Galaxy.
