Gee, I have two of those units!
To be precise, one is an authentic 4C with the Glass bowl and one is an even older 3B mixer. Since the original snap in beater was no longer available or more exactly, the planetary assembly that had the retainer for the snap in beater on the 3B, I converted it to the 4C style which increased the bowl size from 3 to 4 quarts. That has the Stainless Steel bowl and also the new style bowl clamp. This mixer was from the late 30's early 40's.
My wife keeps telling me to throw them out or sell them. We do still have a K45 with the Solid State Speed control which is boxed in the attic and hasnt been used for years.
You know how I cannot part with anything that was true Hobart made and what had my own blood and sweat in it!
That price asked by that seller isnt so bad based on its nostalgia value!
