Really impressed here as well

I'm really glad to see that None of Us will be a dieing breed as far as our collecting goes. I have a 9 year old granddaughter that like me is fasinacated with vacuum cleaners, she loves to come over and vacuum with a different vacuum cleaner every time she comes and I'm trying to make sure she will be fastincated like me, but I have to say I'm alot like Austin I really like all the appliances it's just I have no room for it all but if I did or maybe in the future I will be able to add to my collection of vacs, polishers, mixers, irons and some sewing machines and i did kiunda start a lawnmower collection as I have 3 in that group. but would love to have me some washers, dryers and stoves, I think stove is one of my big things for sure, I have had some chambers stoves in my time and wished I would have kept them but back years ago I thought i was one who collected some stuff butboy has the internet opened some doors for me.

I'm here!

Just been lurking more than anything lately.

I'm 18...I do wish I was 16 again though as that was when I attended the Omaha Convention in '05. What fun that was!

Say YAY!

Hey Timon!

Glad to see that there are young people that will carry the torch (so to speak) for vintage appliances!! There are quite a few young washer fans on the site, located all over the world.

Me, I could be everyone's mother; including you Joe!! LOL The love of vintage appliances large and small keeps me young (at least on the inside)!!

Enjoy - we look forward to some more vintage Zanker pics!

Chambers Stoves

Skip, I think Rachel Ray has likely piqued the average person's interest in Chambers stoves. I've always liked them but have never had a kitchen where I could fit one. I'll bet demand has spiked for them now. So much for finding one cheap for those here who are still looking.

Ralph

I have had 2 chambers stoves back in the early 90's, my first one was yellow in color I can't remember the model number but it wass the very last one made by chambers I kept it for 2 years no peoblems at all, It justy I wanted the old one white like my Aunt had in New orleans and finally found one so I sold my yellow one to get the white one but funny story here. my first Chambers I bought from a fellow boy scout member from his mother and then I foundf the White one and I bought it from another Boy Scout member of mine

They have always impressed me

I think my fasincation with the chambers was that it had all the features no other stove had or at least that I know of. I love the Deep well on them and was alweays using mine and found the the well was the best at frying foods. and I also enjoyed the griddle as well too, I have to admit boy do I regret leaving my chambers behind. I would love to find another buit boy I can just imagine the cost now. My yellow one if my memory serves me right I paid $250.00 for it and My white one I think I paid $300.00 for it but do remember i did get $300.00 for the Yellow one when I sold it.
