I had one and loved it! Great for soups, stews and vegetables like potatoes. I usually see them for sale on EBAY.

Yes, mine is a counter top version also. If I had the spare cash I'd buy it for the cook and stir unit alone. Would not use it often, but when I did it would make things easier.

Did a member snag this one off ebay? That was a very good deal. Foodmatics are getting harder to find. I was tempted since I have all the accessories but the stirrer is missing from the cooking vessel. I probably will never use it anyway. Congrats to the lucky bidder.
