Now that it is snowing as I type, I have restarted on my e-trike project from last year: as much an art project as a rideable vehicle, 20x4 tires and 1KW 48V BLDC motor. Known and predictable AGM batts. The other active project is upgraded cat enclosure-current one is basicly a hollowed out and insulated GE model-t washer. the new one will be built on several outer casings from some junked VMWs and will feature 4 floors, heat, and a couple plexiglass veiwing bubbles :)

Hi Brendan,
I'm always amazed of the hobbies and projects others living other states have going on.
Now-a-days I youtube stuff, since we have the technology to "travel" by a computer keyboard, saving travel money (I'm cheap lol)
I've only actually been to a couple of states through the decades, and seen the lifestyles and interests, yet how neighborly and hospitable people can be.
Florida, Virginia & WV, Georgia, The Carolinas, California, New York, NJ, Delaware, and upstate PA.

I was almost going to convert my Murray mountain bike with electric, but something bothered me about those lith-ion batteries, and their cost.
So I went with gasoline and got a 4-stroke kit back in 2015 which worked out nicely.
I can still pedal, or enjoy the engine "assist" feature now.

Working toward my 38th year traveling to maintain x-ray and Rad Onc equipment across the lower 48, Canada, Mexico, Carribean... blah blah blah... I live in AZ now, but truly miss PA. There are neighborhoods I'd love to live in in Philly, despite it's issues and the God-awful taxes. (Though Wanamaker's is gone, at least for now!) I'm moving into a new home with a large shop, good air compressor already piped in, lots of power. Planning to get moving restoring some of the antique fridges I've collected over the years, as well as my low-end classic car collection. I'll never approach David Allen's level of expertise or dedication, but I can try! Winter and summer are inverted here, we sit in the A/C in August and get cracking about October...

Philly's taxes I suspect are due to greed and mismanagement, and the corruption within city hall.
And that idiotic Sanctuary City bullcrap needs to be overturned as well.
Us long-time residents and homeowners have seen what "issues" have resulted from that crap.
Also, that stupid "Soda Tax" is another worthless waste of taxpayer's money.
Because people wind up traveling to the outskirts of the city to buy their soda anyway.

Other then that, I'm born and raised in Philly, and crusade to bring some sense back to my neighborhood.
Ya gotta open your mouth and complain, or else nothing gets fixed.

The Pittsburgh area's values and taxes are very close to here in S.E. Michigan. Areas like Fox Chapel, Mt. Lebanon-Bethel park compare to the Grosse pointes and Bloomfield.
