Heart-wrenching story... This past Saturday I was making a banana-mint smoothie in my late-'60s Waring blender (cloverleaf jar, black lid, avocado base) when the jar started leaking. After finishing my conniption fit, I discovered that the bottom seal had crumbled (into my drink). Because the jar is solid glass, with no detachable bottom, I need to replace the whole jar. The final prices on eBay are out of my range.

It's embarrassing to ask, but can any of you friendly appliance folks spare a glass Waring cloverleaf jar with a "wagon wheel" drive? (And good seals?)

Oh, man......

That's too bad. What a waste of a good glass jar; definitely a design flaw by Waring.

I'll keep my eyes opened at the thriftstore and junktique in town.

Yeah, they were good blenders but I don't know what they were thinking with that jar/blade design. I'll stay on the alert, in case I may see something!

Waring blender jars

That same "wagon wheel" blade drive is still used today. Is the blade opening on your jar cracked or broken? If it is then you will need a new jar and blade. If the opening in the jar is OK-you will need a new blade and seal.Usually sold as a kit-check with a restaurant supply company in your area. You may be able to order the parts from Waring.Since it is a 60's vintage machine-you did get very good blade and seal life.I can't get the link to work-you may want to try looking up www.waring products.com and see if you could order a a blade kit for your machine from there.

waring products

Their internet address is www.waringproducts.com Look under their consumer products menu-then shows a section where you can order parts.Maybe they can help. The blade assembly can be reomved from the jar-there is a large nut on the bottom holding it in the jar.If the nut isn't all corroded-it should come off easily.I have replaced blades in these before.

Blender parts etc....

I have the part you need - entire jar and blade assembly and lid.... you can have it for the price of the postage to send it to you. it's been in my garage for the last 3 years or so since fire and sparks shot out of the motor base... :-( Appears to be in pristine condition and as far as I know - does not leak. Let me know if interested.

Even if you get the complete assembly from Neptune2000, I personally would STILL get the parts and repair the original jar, just to have a spare. Those jars ARE glass, you know, accidents happen. Plus, you then have the versatility of mixing 2 different things at once if needed.

Waring ad

I seem to remember ads for those blenders that used a "Mission Impossible" theme. Anybody elese remember those?

Thanks, kenmore1978

I was browsing through the Waring pages. Turns out the cloverleaf blender is now the TOL "professional food service" model. And to think, I got mine for $1 at a rummage sale!

replacement jar

Great, but whatever you do, don't throw away the fix-able jar, since it's now known to be repairable, and there'll come a time when it might not be.

Waring Timer-Light Blender

I also need a replacement part for my Waring blendor (it actually is spelled w/an "O" on the blender) Anyway, the bottom of my glass, cloverlead jar also leaks due, I think, to the blade assembly that has corroded. I think the model number is 1038- it has a stainless steele base w/a timer. It's called the Waring Timer-Light Blendor. Any ideas where to get replacement parts? I already tried the Waring sight.
