Hey guys I’m curious has anybody seen one of these dishwashers before, I had two of them in my collection, And I’m curious, should this dishwasher be connected to hot or cold water?

Similar over here were Hinari
No idea where you could buy one but I am guessing any big box store. But they were called if memory serves "Studio dishwashers" in other word poor buggers with tiny kitchen as they sat on the draining board of the sink thus not taking up any more space and to my mind a darn site better than doing dishes by hand.... !!

Switching off heater would be good for people on stand-alone solar who couldn't feed a hungry heater.
It's not such an issue these days as solar power systems are so much cheaper, but when that dw was made, people on solar commonly used to disconnect dishwasher heaters and fill from hot only, often adding a kettle of (gas or wood heated) boiling water, too.

Lemair
Lemair is an Australian brand but I don't think they have ever made product themselves, it has always been a badge stuck on products from a variety of countries - in the 1980s they had rebadged Indesit washer-dryers, rebadged Vyatka (BRTKA) front load washers from USSR, and Soviet fridges, too. Before that, they had Lemair-Helvetica sewing machines which I think came from Switzerland? The badge still exists, AFAIK only on Chinese fridges and washing machines.

Adam: regarding the fill water, you'd have to experiment to see what works. Is a 1600W rating overall going to leave enough grunt for heating with motor running? Or does motor stop while heater operates? More importantly, does the fill hose look like it's rated for hot water? You may find it isn't. It could becomes soft and fail when hot and under pressure after the first fill while waiting for the next fill. Given the temp settings and the fact there is a heater, I'd guess cold fill ... at least for a few trials ... to see how things go ...

I think it's a cold fill machine.
When using rinse + hold you turn the heater off.

A countertop unit I have has an option to heat the water for both the first wash and last rinse, or not. Those mini units are often used in campers, RVs, small yachts, and such where heated water may be a challenge, so they have heating for use on a cold connection.

I'm not sure if this particular model was sold here, but similar models were always around at trade shows. I remember Toshiba selling a compact dishwasher at trade shows. IIRC they sold vacuums too there.

The Toshiba's were quite simple too. IIRC a timer and a push button, probably for on/off. The Toshiba looked much like a microwave oven with a glass door and lines in the glass.
