Anyone Else Tried of Hearing About Tom Cruise's Baby?

Ok, am as excited as the next person for any couple expecting then having a healthy infant, but when will it all end?

First the reports of Tom Cruise's new GF, then rumors of her being with child, then confirmation of said rurmors, then daily minutes of what the expectant parents were buying/doing/etc.

Finally now that the woman has delivered, there is news that the name of the baby girl has caused a stir in Israel.

Yes, it took several marriages and adopted children before Mr. Crusise sired a child of his own, but what is going on here. Is there some sort of statement coming out of all this?

Considering Mr. Cruise's track record in the marriage department, cannot exactly wonder why his new lady didn't get married in white and in time, but are we going to have 18 or so years of daily news breifings of this child?

Cruise wouldn't seem so odd....

or be so ridiculed if it weren't for the wierd obsession people seem to have for this couple. His wife is brainwashed, he is nuts, he jumped on Oprah's couch, he is nuts, his wife has become wierd, he jumped on Oprah's couch, he is crazy and on and on.

I could care less about "TomKat", but as I have said before, it is clear that some people have so little going on in their lives that they hang on breathlessly for what other people do simply because those involved are in the movies.

tee vee, and stopped reading tabloids, I am a lot happier, and feel a lot saner.

I'm so sick of hearing about TomKat and Brangelina and their babies I could spit. You know what Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise have in common? They both had adorable wives and dumped them like garbage. I'll tell you one thing, If I ever got a chance with Nicole or Jennifer, I'd have an ear to ear smile on my face that you could not wipe off with an SOS pad.

the real gem was.........

Ms Brooke Shields who came forward with her post partum depression, earlier in the year a very Real phenomenon, and Mr. Cruise had to talk badly about her decision to seek medical help, IIRC Tom told Matt Lauer, something like, you dont understand pschiatry and I do. Sure you all saw that play on TODAY. I say hats off to Brooke for her integrity and honesty, exemplified in a way that might help others. just my 2 cents. I do enjoy tom's movies for the most part but this imho was just wrong. Brooke best of luck to you. alr2903.

I don't think that's the only thing Tom and Brad have in common, but that's all I'm going to say about that. If Tom would happen to be an appliance buff and saw this, he might have me sued or something if I said what's *really* on my mind....

I just bet Nicole and Jennifer will land happily on their feet.

As for the baby, I hope she is healthy and somehow manages to have a good and happy life.

Tom would have impressed me if he had asked for and gotten the role of Jack Twist in "Brokeback Mountain".

But I suspect he avoided it at all costs.

im with Lawrence on this one. at least there is some learning and stimulation on the web. most TV, even the news, are very designed for spoon-feeding. evertime the TV news does a story on the dangers of online predators and the risk of online shopping, there should be a disclaimer on the bottom of the screen noting that the internet is one of the TV industry's main competitors. it makes people turn off the TV.

Ironic Coincidence

I really enjoyed the fact that after all of Tom Cruise's negative remarks about Brooke Shields' use of antidepressants to treat postpartum depression, Brooke, too, had a baby on Tuesday (same day as Katie and Tom).

I adored Tom Cruise back in the day. I had a big thing for him around the time of Risky Business. But enough's enough. He still looks good and is obviously a good enough actor to work as steadily as he does in top quality products. But, puh-leeze.

Same with Brad Pitt. He's still cute but I'm ready to hear about something else!

The only film I thought Cruise was good in was Born on the Fourth of July, where he plays a disabled Vietnam vet protesting the war. There, his manic self-absorbed intensity seemed to fit in quite well. Otherwise, he sets my teeth on edge.
