I still have the 1971 Maytag 806 and Highlander machines if anyone is interested. The 806 is white in color and in good cosmetic and working condition. The highlander is from 1960 and in very good cosmetic and mechanical cond. The fill valve will need to be replaced though, as it sticks.

I just made a typo its not an 807 its a 805&1/2. Chocolate Brown and works perfectly. Lighted console and interior. Early version w/ chrome agitator cap, and the early Power-Fin with ribs and fins. Pretty machine. If I can't sell her I'll keep her.

Then I have a '64 A-300 Highlander. Ridden hard, she has numerous issues but still works. And a '61 or '62 (don't recall--I'll have to look it up!) Highlander in pretty good shape. These will go to the krusher if I can't find them homes soon.

I posted photos of them back around the first of December here on Imperial but can't recall the thread number.

Ok, I'll bite: what's the difference between an 805 and 806? I've never heard of an 805, but in the picture, it looks to me just like an 806. They're all very nice machines in all events!

"I've been trying to move an 807 as well as two Highlanders, and haven't had nary a bit of interest.
Good luck! Mine are headed to the krusher soon."

Try parting them out on Ebay before krushing 'em. I'll be bidding on the 806 parts......guaranteed!!

Oh dear, now what the heck is an 807? All these new numbers tonight! :-) I thought an 806 was an 806, from the start of the run to the finish. What am I missing here?

highlander

gyrafoam, I emailed you about the highlander with the skinny agitator post.I want that one. email me if you still have it.don

I too have a highlander from 1950 tese are very beautiful machines and are well worth saving. I would keep it for parts but have no way to come and get it. mine has the 2 speed motor and a lit up tub it is also very quiet although it has issues. I got it from an abandoned estate but from the owner who owned the estate. it has been sitting in the house for soo many years and has no rust but I might need help getting it back together after I rebuild it
