Laundress, DOBs are easy.
Just do what I do:
Take your real birthday, subtract 10, then shave off another five and you have it. As one continues the journey of life you may eventually have to go to subtracting 20, but for you that will be long way off.
The fun part is it screws up their marketing information as well.
Don't know what a Zap Cap is, but I'm getting one...
I get coupons, freebies and all sorts of goober in the mailbox addressed to C.I. Frigidaire at least once a week. C.I. was born in 1906 - or if unavailable, the earliest year in the drop-down box.
I was just thinking the exact same thing, when it asked for DOB. I think it could be, because some states have laws requiring them, not to collect information about minors under the age of 13. I've seen little notices about it, a lot throughout sites.
In Kroger today I could not find the product description specified as matching the offer. Use the UPC above rather than one from a bottle you happen to own. My HE liquid doesn't even have the same number of digits, though the first 5 do match.
Oh, and I always fudge my birthday on the internet. Just so it won't correlate with any existing database.
I have to add, my Uncle has reached the time in his life where he has started adding years.
When someone asks his age he says he adds 10 years.
Asking him why he adds 10 years? He said "Because then everyone says 'my you look good for your age.'"
