Found this LK portable, but it has a timer issue, and needs a new supply pipe to the roto rack nozzle. Dont have the time to deal with it. So if anyone in Pittsburgh or nearby wants it, email me and we can set up p/u arrangements

LOOKS LIKE MY 1960 LADY KENMORE
Racks look likr the 1960 Lady Kenmore set. Please let me know if I am mistaken but I think this is the first Kenmore with the roto rack.

Can you give us a close up shot of the control panel and controls? As well, could you take a shot or two with it in operation?
I'm kind of curious about that red stripe on the bottom.. Is there a light which moves across it or something?

NON SPRAY-TUBE D&M BUILT TL PORTABLE DW
John have you ever used your LKM DW? it would be interesting to see how much the top rack turns without a separate water feed tube spraying it and propelling it to turn. I don't think this design was used very long, Tom has the next generation TL LKM portable DW that still has an impeller for the lower rack but also has the spray tube for the roto-rack.

The Red line is what you see as the timer advances. they called it the "speedometer" dial it is not lighted although I have often thought that would have been a good idea. the Roto Rack hardley turns during a cycle unless you are washing small items. Even with the adjustable height with todays plates it is hard to get clearence. also with the design you have to make sure the top rack is balanced just right. If not it will tip and cathc on the plates below. However all in all it washes great esp. when you switch to super wash and super rince. here are a few pics and scans from the catalog.

I decided to bid on this Dishwasher Rack, and I won the auction. I thought it would be cool to have, because when I was in high school (1970) I had a slightly older Kenmore "Six Hundred" Model 587.65510, S/N: 24415 (I do not know how to decode the age). It had the exact same rack. I am planning on putting the rack inside one of my GE dishwashers that I can fit with a Plexiglas lid to watch the top rack turning. Theoretically it should work.
