My previous home had one of these, A Ronson Foodmatic. I thought it was such a cool thing even though I rarely used it. There were attachments for doing all kinds of things, even making ice cream. The coolest thing was a cooking vessel that was thermostatically controlled and stirred the food for you. It would be great to find one for sale complete with all the attachments.

Having been deprived of them in my childhood, I am a "built-in" appliance freak.

I've seen one of these once in Australia. A friend of mines parents house had one....I was absolutely facinated by it especially when the best mixer I had ever seen was a Kenwood chef at the time...

....I want one....

I have one. Only it's not the built in one it's the same but free standing. We didn't need or get all the attachments. just the mixer.

Nice machine. Got it tucked in a closet somewhere.

how about one of these?

I think this was called the General Electric Party Cart. A GE electric range with an attached charcoal grill on wheels complete with umbrella. You needed a 220 volt outlet on your patio but then everyone's got one of those. I have never seen one of these but did see one advertised on Craigslist. The owner said it was won on a game show and never used.

Ronson

I wish I could find one ,my friend in Greenfield Ohio, collects mixers and has one in his kitchen as well as a nutone, the ronson is better and will do everything,I have a Ronson cook and stir blender that works well too.

They were great unfortunately the company that was making the Ronson FoodMatics went bankrupt back in the late 80's, some big lawsuit with the owners or something not paying taxes iirc.
Parts now are very scarce, they were never as popular as the Nutone units were.

My aunt had one of those in her custom built home back in the 70's. I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I think it was a Kenwood or something like that. When they built their new home in the mid-80's she didn't do a built in mixer that time, but did have a central vac so my attention was easily diverted.
