This Hotpoint antique range has 3 different burners, a Chromalox coil, and two types of solid elements. The left front unit I've never seen before.

This GE-Hotpoint also has some elements I've never seen, and these are all Chromalox. It looks as if the top part is removable? Could there be wire coils beneath the top part? This is strange to me, because I thought GE bought Hotpoint to get their Calrod coil design, yet here's a range from after the buyout that doesn't have them?? Also note the Jeweled Movement timer on top, with its own cloth cord and ornate 120V plug.

You need to realize that in the almost 100 years of this range's existence elements have been replaced, probably by various, and possibly independent, service people who used various elements maybe to save money by using other than HP elements. The left front is the first surface unit that Frigidaire used in their first ranges of the pre-WWII years.

Makes sense. Any idea what the Chromalox elements on the second range are? They seem to have removable covers or something, and they all match.
