Jetcone, are we tempting fate?

I was trying to look up your profile and it >somehow< magically disappeared! LOL! You are so lucky that Robert's still trying to become one with hie Apex...

How quiet is that Panasonic? As far as motor noise, I mean? I just picked up a nice one from a customer who went to a new Kitchenaid model as the old one did not gel with the current kitchen colors... Here's a couple of pics. Can you tell me who makes the Sears blenders? Are they any good? I'm thinking of replacing my newer, PLASTIC Oster with this beauty as it has a real glass chamber...

Yes that Sears is a Hamilton Beach

Jon is that the Panasonic that was on Ebay Buy it Now? I hummed and hawed over it and left it. Glad you got it if so..

I have the video of the TOL electronic and the neat Recipe blender both on youtube. I have a third yellow 6 speed model with no added functions of anything, plain jane.

But wait.. I just looked at that Panasonic above and it looks eerily like my Vornado blender..here, without the dial on the front,, but do you think the oval buttons are the same Jon?

Wow A Vornado Blender

I had no idea one ever existed! Yes I would definietly wager Panasonic built it for Vornado. All SCR controlled VERY 1960's!

That Sears beauty is an HB for sure.

I was shocked my Panasonic sounds like a new motor, extremely smooth and powerful and the bearing in the jar seems tight which surprised me.

Small Electrics ROCK!

Beautiful blender Jon, thanks to you and everyone else that has shared theirs. I can think of some "fun" things we could stir up in that.

My First Video on Youtube

I just made and posted my first video with my digital camera on YouTube. Unfortunately (and please don't hate me), it not of a washer or dishwasher. It one of my typewriters an IBM Model 85 Electronic which came out in 1982. You can store, edit and print document. It's printing from memory a document that I typed from my college typing book.

Let me know what you think, and don't be to harsh, it's my first time. LOL. You might want to turn the volume down a little, it's loud with the sound shield open.

Maybe this weekend when I do laundry, I will try and make a video of my Frigidaire Gallery front loader.

The Model 85 as I call it is a electronic Selectric. I uses the same type balls as the Selectric III, and is just as loud if not louder than a Selectric.

Jet~

Oh, Yay...A vintage blender thread!!

I, too, am a collector and I love your new Osterizer!
The '59 Hamilton Beach is a beauty as well. Did you find them at an Estate sale?

I am still enjoying the blender jars Greg Nunn sent me..Thanks again Greg!

Enjoy!

Shane

I'm sorting thru all my junque and found this blender way in the back and it reminded me of this thread.. It's the Hamilton Beach as above but branded as a Philips and sold in Canada as such. HB products were sold as Philips here for a number of years back in the 50's and 60's. Now Philips are Philips and HB is HB

Ok so its probably late 70's or early to mid 80's
i see the barocde.. Maybe late 80's.. But most didnt have glass containers//

Blenders! I can do blenders too!

I have the "Cookbook Blender" version of the Hamilton Beach. I thought the slide control, versus the buttons, was interesting. My apologies for the not so great pic.

P.S. Gutsy is the man who said 'Apex Schmaypex!

Chuck re that Sunbeam mixer. Just so you know it is not chrome it's plastic chrome not metal. All MM model Sunbeams were the first all plastic bodied machines. The previous model 12 was the real chrome metal Sunbeam mixmaster. Doesn't meant that one on Ebay is an awful mixer, the innards are basically the same.

The blender you bought is no doubt better than most you'd buy today.
