It sure is original. Usually, the companion oven's bake element has been replaced with the one designed for the post 1957 stoves. In these older ranges, the companion oven is deeper than the main one next to it, so by the time you take out the block that the old element plugged into and install the smaller wire in bake element, you have a bake element that only comes about 3/4 of the way to the front.

If you think that this BIN price is high, check out the late 40s GE Stratoliner for sale in Canada with Frigidaire-type Radiantube surface units and an oven floor that is rusting. And they have the nerve to say "little use."

that would look GREAT in my kitchen , five hundred maybe, obviously for someone with two bids on it, three grand ????? not for me ...........

Where did you find that GE Stratoliner listed at? I'm just curious to see it. I have a 1946 GE Stratoliner and it's my every day stove. I absolutely LOVE it!
