Is there a machine in the US that is an equivalent to the Hotpoint Aqualtis? I need one that rinses very well. I have been using a Whirlpool Duet but it doesn't rinse well enough for my husbands sensitive skin, since we have had it he has been getting sores from the detergent residue in his clothes. Right now I run his clothes through another whole cycle without detergent. Any suggestions for a machine in the US?

Molly--- What kind of detergent are you using? I believe there are a few US brands which are specially formulated to be kind to sensitive skin.

I rarely suggest toploading washers, but you might be better of with a traditional agitator-based toploader, using the extra rinse feature. Uses a lot of water, but should get the job done for you.

I don't think there is a machine like the aqualtis in us but here is the american Hotpoint site. The Whirlpool duet or the mega miele are the best in my knoledge.

The detergent I have been using is All Free and Clear and have used it for 5 years without a problem until my old Kenmore TL died and I replaced it with the Duet. Although I do use Tide for my daughter's clothes, so either the Duet doesn't rinse the clothes well enough or leaves residue from a previous wash. I really did want to get a machine big enough to wash comforters in since I have three cats and a dog, all of whom sleep on the beds, which is why I went with an FL instead of a TL.

The Oasis HE uses more water than say the Duet, and I find it rinses effectively for my needs personally, as long as the 2nd Rinse is selected. I can fit my queen comforter in perfectly, and sometimes more. It has the largest tub of any washer (4.5 cF)
