UK chaps be warned.

Local to me we have a chain of stores "Family Bargains" similar to B&M's/HomeBargains/QualitySave selling Ariel compact powder in cardboard boxes.

Bought 2 boxes considering they were a bargain, alarm struck when I opened the box - it had no tear strip and the box felt thin.

Inside the product smells very similar so I didnt question its credentials however having just used some I can confirm its not the real deal. Dont waste your money!!!

Perhaps I ought to speak to trading standards. I dunno.

Saying that, this chain store is selling 5kg of Finish Commercial powder which I took the plunge on and is proving to be the real deal and excellent.

Beware of fakes anyhoo.

Almost sure it's from China!

Ariel compact made in china!

I'd write to P&G about this and ask providing label code etc!  If fight against contraffaction does not start from us, then let's don't complaint about China sending down the toilet our market and economy! If they still play dirty it is because it is allowed, it is time for us to wake up and act against these things... now it is a little box of detergent, tomorrow will be your shampoo, toothpaste and many more things you use everyday! So when you see  counterfeit goods just think that this thing is one of the reasons why western economy is going bad.

Don't think there's Ariel compact powder anymore

It is now called "Actilift" over here in Germany. Never tested it so I can't tell anything about it.

Check the box to see if it has an ink-jet printed production code anywhere on it.

Contact P&G to see if they can shed any light on it.
