Electrolux machines are by far better than Ariston in all of their products. Much better built, more reliable (according to the UK Which? survey), quieter, and everyone I know with a new Indesit is either having serious problems with them, or they haven't had one last as long as a washer should. My nana has a new Hotpoint washer - which is a rebadged Ariston more or less - and that is a joke. Cheap & tacky, noisy, doesn't wash nor rinse well when for the same price she could have got a better quality Zanussi with better washing and rinsing. Of course Zanussi's aren't anyway as good as a Miele or whatever, but still miles better than any Ariston or Indesit heap of plastic.
The Indesit Company is by far one of the most sh*t brands you can buy today. And I would boycott them anyway simply for the fact that they have ruined the good name of the British Hotpoint and Creda brands.
I have to give kudos to Indesit though, for their design as, if the machine wasn't so plasticky, it would be a very interesting and attractive alternative design to the standard white box washing machines.
